SENNEBOGEN Foundation supports "Prevention Days 2025"

Raising young people's awareness of socially relevant issues, promoting volunteer work and strengthening regional initiatives - all this is combined in the Prevention Days 2025 organized by the youth focus group in Burglengenfeld. What is particularly remarkable is that the project is organized entirely by young people on a voluntary basis - a commitment that the SENNEBOGEN Foundation is supporting with a donation of 4,500 euros.

Educational work on addiction prevention, cybercrime and mental health

The Prevention Days 2025 of the Focus Group Youth from Burglengenfeld are explicitly aimed at young people and provide education on key topics of today's world, including dangerous consumer behavior, addiction prevention, cybercrime, the use of digital media and mental health. The innovative concept is based on the motto "By young people, for young people" and actively involves young people in the design. The next Prevention Days, for which more than 1600 pupils have already registered, will take place from July 8-10, 2025 in the Burglengenfeld town hall and will be open to the public from 8:15 am to 1:00 pm. In addition to presentations and information stands, the focus will primarily be on interactive workshops that offer young people the opportunity to actively engage with the topics.

Special feature: young people organize this major event

The event is under the patronage of the Bavarian Minister President Dr. Markus Söder and the local state and district councillor Thomas Ebeling. The special thing about it is that it is organized entirely on a voluntary basis. The organizing team consists of two students, a pupil and a professional who, in addition to their studies, school and work, are committed to the topic on a voluntary basis in their free time and also take care of the financing of this major event. They will also be supported on site by ten young people from the YOUTH focus group in the implementation of the Prevention Days 2025. To underline the social importance of this work and to support the voluntary commitment of the young organizers, the SENNEBOGEN Foundation has made a donation of €4,500 to help finance the Prevention Days this year.

Wackersdorf apprentices take part in event

The SENNEBOGEN Foundation has been supporting social, regional and supra-regional projects for many years. With this in mind, the foundation board and the managing director of SENNEBOGEN Maschinentechnik GmbH in Wackersdorf, Alexander Scherer, are particularly keen to support such an innovative and socially oriented project as the Prevention Days. The donation was financed from the proceeds of the Christmas raffle at the SENNEBOGEN plants in Wackersdorf. SENNEBOGEN Maschinentechnik also makes it possible for its apprentices to take part in the event in July. "Voluntary work like this is not a matter of course in today's world and it inspires me both professionally and privately. We would therefore also like to take up the offer directly for our apprentices ourselves, as it is important not only from a private perspective but also from a business perspective to raise awareness of these issues in the best possible way and to sensitize the apprentices accordingly," concludes Managing Director Alexander Scherer.
