Mammoet operates a SENNEBOGEN 643 R in Holland

Mammoet B.V. in Holland specialises in transporting and lifting heavy loads. Following the example of other sister companies in the SHV Holdings N.V. Group, the company invested in a SENNEBOGEN 643 R in Holland.

The SENNEBOGEN 643 crawler crane with continuously adjustable cab works directly on the quay of Sappi Nijmegen B.V., a large paper factory in eastern Holland. The machine unloads pulp bales delivered from France by water. "We chose a hydraulic boom to replace the old machine with lattice boom because the movements are softer and more precise. The telescopic boom is made up of four extensions and the holds can be emptied in no time with a length of 30 meters. The 643 can also move easily along the ship with no need for supports thanks to the crawler drive", explains Cees de Bont, regional manager at Mammoet, highlighting the benefits of the machine. The SENNEBOGEN 643 can therefore be transported quickly and can be used for a variety of different tasks, which saves time. Prepared for transportation, the machine measures just 3.15 meters in height and just 3.0 meters in width thanks to the telescopic crawler chassis.

Efficiency and safe operation are equally important to Mammoet and its customers. Building on good experiences with other SENNEBOGEN machines, the 643 with vertically elevating cab was realised in cooperation with the regional dealer Kiuken N.V. The cab guarantees good visibility. The machine is also equipped with a four-part hydraulic telescopic boom and is easy to maintain. "We definitely made the right choice with the SENNEBOGEN 643. The machine guarantees long-term safe and problem-free operation at the workplace. "That is key criteria in our sector, as we cannot afford downtimes", states Cees de Bont.
