Electric drives save fuel and reduce operating costs, that is what SENNEBOGEN customers have long been aware of. But good ideas save money as well - which proves the latest machinery transport, SENNEBOGEN carried out last week.
Two brand new SENNNEBOGEN material handling machines of the type 835 Electric were delivered this week in an unusual way by the factory premises in the industrial area of Straubing-Sand. From Straubing port the machines start their journey towards Turkey by ship. Instead of using a cost-intensive special flat belt truck with around 100 km approach distance, SENNEBOGEN gave it a try with a homemade solution.
True to the motto "There's no such thing as can't" one unceremoniously fixed the big generator on a trailer borrowed from a local farmer and thus solved the problem of mobility of the electric machine. Accompanied by a pilot vehicle and thanks to special permissions of the local authorities, the new machine made its way towards Straubing harbor. In an environmental friendly way, this solution offers good prospects for a further economic use of the local harbor.
