Much more than just a color - 10 years SENNEBOGEN Green

For 10 years now, the SENNEBOGEN world has been shining in a uniform color tone and the color green has become indispensable in the construction machinery industry. What seems self-evident today was a groundbreaking decision in the company’s history a decade ago.

Why green?

„Of course there were doubts at the time as to whether the green color would be well received on the market. But after the first customer feedback, we knew that the combination of SENNEBOGEN and green was a perfect fit.“

Painting machines in the company‘s own color was very unusual in earlier times. Regardless of the manufacturer, one color was defined per industry: Yellow for construction sites, blue for agriculture. SENNEBOGEN also oriented itself almost 50 years of this tradition, until the end of the 1990s when the first machines were developed specifically for material handling. The new SENNEBOGEN 821, 825 and 835 material handlers quickly showed that their exceptional energy efficiency and environmental friendliness are a unique selling point on the market. „We all agreed at the time: with the new product line, we wanted to clearly stand out from the competition, not only technically but also visually“, explains Managing Director Erich Sennebogen.

 

Why green?

„The color green is now inseparably linked with SENNEBOGEN in the construction machinery industry,“ explains Michael Ibarth, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications and responsible for brand positioning at SENNEBOGEN. „For us, green is not only a color, but rather our company philosophy.“

redefining its own positioning on the market

The „Green Line“ was born and consequently, the machines were delivered in bright green. In the following years, the Green Line became increasingly popular, which is why SENNEBOGEN redefined its own positioning on the market in 2010. „GO FOR GREEN! not only opened bauma 2010, it also gave the starting signal for a new company orientation. A milestone in the company‘s history, which meant that cranes and duty cycle cranes are now also being painted green as standard, and sustainability and energy efficiency have top priority in all development projects.
