At the transport logistic trade fair in May 2017, SENNEBOGEN presented its new 9300 E mobile port crane to the public for the first time in a 1:15 scale version. Following this appearance, the company received its first order for a delivery to Turkey. Now, after just four months, the full-size machine can be found at the Straubing plant. The mobile port crane is currently undergoing thorough testing and will be delivered to the Turkish customer IDC Liman Isletmeleri A.S. in the port of Izmir by the end of the year.
The new concept provides an interesting solution for many ports as its performance data covers a broad spectrum of uses. With a working radius of 40 m the crane handles ship sizes up to Panamax class for bulk handling as well as standard and feeder ships in container handling. At the same time it provides an attractive solution for heavy and general cargo with 90 t load capacity and a jib working radius of almost 20 m.
The customer is particularly excited about the height-adjustable cab. With an eye height of 21.2 m the driver has a perfect overview from the comfortable and roomy Portcab. Getting to that height is no problem at all – the driver climbs into the cab at a height of just under 9 m and then uses the Skylift 1100 cab adjustment to reach the ideal working height.
With the star undercarriage, the 9300 E is still compact to operate while, at the same time, it stands firmly on an outrigger area of 11.5 m x 11.5 m thanks to the fold-out outriggers. Overall, the machine stands out thanks to the simple and robust technical design of the undercarriage. The customers in Turkey are not alone in appreciating the reliability and availability of SENNEBOGEN machines.
