The brass rollers, the telescopic undercarriage and the massive metal tracks of the crawler chassis underline the realistic and very high quality of the model. Almost all of the components are manufactured in die-cast zinc. The hidden screw holes for winch adjustment are a particular feature. The A-frame winch, the hoisting winches and the winch for opening and closing the diaphragm wall grab can be operated from under the cover plate. The 690 thus presents itself as a fully-functioning, very massive and representative stationary model, and this variant is truly unique in the model-building sector.
