The SENNEBOGEN 825 covers more application areas and special solutions than any other machine in the SENNEBOGEN product portfolio. Whether it is the current E-series version or the previous variant, this machine type is used in numerous industries from timber handling to recycling and is becoming increasingly popular thanks to special solutions such as the VarioTool and trailer and electric solutions.
In 2017 SENNEBOGEN launched the new edition of the popular 825 in the current E-series. The machine provides equipment lengths from 12 m to 14 m and has already become well established as a flexible all-rounder among customers all over the world in the predecessor series. As a reliable all-round machine the SENNEBOGEN 825 impresses in numerous application areas, from the recycling of waste and raw materials to sorting and loading activities for timber handling or the scrapyard. The SENNEBOGEN 825 is safe and stable thanks to the powerful mobile undercarriage with 4-point outrigger support or the version with crawler chassis. Furthermore, numerous special solutions have been developed for the 825 in recent years.
The SENNEBOGEN VarioTool enables one machine to be used for different purposes, primarily in scrap handling applications. Using a quick-change mechanism, the stick can be easily changed as required without an additional storage rack. For example, it is possible to switch between a sorting grab stick with reversing mechanism and a second stick for hanging grapples or a magnet. A pair of shears can also be operated via the attachment adapter. The VarioTool enables the use of one machine in up to three different equipment variants. The changeover is an incredibly simple process and can be performed by the operator from the cab.
The SENNEBOGEN 825 with mobile undercarriage has proven its worth in timber handling applications over generations. If, in addition to the usual log handling tasks, the timber also has to be transported around the storage yard, the trailer version of the 825 provides a handy solution. In contrast to the standard version, this version of the machine has a special trailer undercarriage with larger single tires and a more powerful travel drive. This means that, when combined with a trailer, the machine can move up to 4 times as much material as a classic pick & carry solution on every trip – resulting in valuable savings in terms of distance covered and fuel.
Alongside different equipment lengths and undercarriage configurations, the tried-and-tested SENNEBOGEN modular system also provides a useful way of reducing the machine weight for transportation. The operating weight of the machine can be reduced by 8.5 t by means of a simple device. The counterweight can be removed easily using a rope winch device over the boom and the process can be completed in just 10 minutes. Thanks to the lower overall weight, the SENNEBOGEN 825 is even easier to transport on a flat-bed trailer and can be set up quickly and easily at the operating site.
In indoor applications, electric machines are the ideal solution – low emissions and quiet operation being the key advantages. In order to ensure optimum machine flexibility despite the tethered power supply, a SENNEBOGEN 825 was equipped with an overhead power supply in a pilot project. The supply cable is guided along with the machine with each movement via a ceiling crane. A rotary feedthrough on the uppercarriage ensures the connection is secure. This special solution ensures that the electric SENNEBOGEN 825 can move flexibly through the hall without restrictions and thus combines the advantages of an energy-efficient and cost-effective electric machine with the flexibility and agility of the mobile material handler in indoor applications.
