At the AVENTIN Dyje Industrial Park in the Czech Republic, the DY4 production hall for SANBORN s.r.o., an engineering company, is currently under construction. The new building, measuring 96.8 x 72.8 meters with a total area of approximately 7,047 m², has been under development since November 2025. Completion, including final inspection and handover, is scheduled for August 2026. IMA Construction, s.r.o. has been commissioned with the project. For the installation of the prefabricated concrete structure, a powerful SENNEBOGEN 683 E telescopic crawler crane is being used.
The core task on site is the precise assembly of the prefabricated concrete structure. Individual components are temporarily stored in a designated laydown area before being transported directly to the installation point. In addition to standard lifting operations, the telescopic crane also performs pick-and-carry tasks, where loads are lifted and moved simultaneously.
Especially in the construction of large-scale industrial halls, the combination of load capacity, reach and flexibility is crucial. The telescopic boom enables long outreach as well as precise positioning of heavy components – even under demanding conditions. Unlike conventional mobile cranes, frequent repositioning is not required, as the telescopic crawler crane can travel with the load. This significantly increases efficiency on site.
The construction site was prepared with a lime-stabilized base layer and a protective layer made of recycled material. Under these conditions, the telescopic crawler crane demonstrates its strengths: thanks to its large contact area, the machine maintains high stability and remains fully operational – even in adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow or frost.
While wheeled mobile cranes quickly reach their limits in such environments, the crawler undercarriage ensures safe and smooth movement across the entire site. The high level of stability not only guarantees reliable lifting operations, but also supports ground compaction without causing damage.
Despite a one-week delay at the start of construction, the assembly of the hall structure was completed one week ahead of the originally agreed schedule. This was mainly due to the smooth coordination between crane operators, assembly teams and project management.
For IMA Construction, this marks the first deployment of SENNEBOGEN cranes on this project. The machines impressed with their high performance, reliability and flexibility in demanding lifting operations.
The collaboration with the SENNEBOGEN dealer INTERMARKET was also consistently rated as very positive. Throughout the entire project phase, an experienced team was available on site to support commissioning and ensure smooth operations.
“The cooperation was excellent. Support from INTERMARKET was guaranteed at all times,” confirms the project management team.
