Making technology understandable - trainees build explanatory models for bauma

The hybrid model makes the Green Hybrid energy recovery system understandable. Pulling the rope lowers the boom. Thanks to the energy stored in the piston accumulator with the Green Hybrid system, the boom then rises again automatically. If, on the other hand, the flow to the piston accumulator is shut off with a shut-off valve, the support disappears and the boom remains down. Additional forces must be applied to move it upwards again.

The battery model explains the Dual Power Management of our Electro Battery machines. The LED matrix in the middle symbolizes the charge level of the battery; LED bars illustrate the energy flow between the battery, electric motor and plug; the required working power can be simulated using a potentiometer. As with real machines, Dual Power Management and charging mode can only be selected when plugged in, while battery mode only works when unplugged.
