An important link in the logistics chain - SENNEBOGEN 835 Electro in Kalevala OSB-plant

The complete OSB plant at the Petrozavodsk location produces approximately 1,500 m³ of chipboard a day for the compact construction group. In addition, HOLTEC received the order for delivery of the lumber yard, including log ponds and logistics solutions. This is where the SENNEBOGEN 835 Electro comes into play. The machine handles tons of log wood in the production process. The SENNEBOGEN 835 Electro is used for unloading trucks, as well as for charging the chipping line. For this the 835 is mounted on a rail undercarriage with a track gauge of 5 m and can be used inside and outside of the hall. From the generously-dimensioned PortCab the operator always has an overview of the different conditioning ponds. In the spacious cab there is also room for the control systems of the plant. In addition, the customer-specific machine has been equipped with a rigid cabin elevation element of 1.5 m to ensure an unobstructed view of the chipping system.

The tree trunks are removed from the different conditioning ponds with a 1.75 m² log grapple and fed into the subsequent logistics process. The special materials handling equipment with a 7 m banana boom, and curved grapple stick enable safe manipulation over the entire work area.

Energy is supplied to the machine via current collectors on the rail undercarriage that engage in protectively offset conductor lines. The advantages of electric propulsion are clearly evident - the 160 kW electric motor not only runs quiet, it is also impressive due to its high level of energy efficiency. There is no need to refuel, and emission-free work, particularly in the hall area, are among the additional advantages.
