The historical bridge at Marktl is being renovated and the new road should be complete by the end of 2011. The fact that the body of the old bridge has broken away means that conventional deconstruction is out of the question due to the structure.
The solution found by the demolition experts: swimming technology and special demolition apparatus. The well-versed specialists at Mailhammer, the company commissioned to carry out the demolition, selected the SENNEBOGEN 830 R-HDD in agreement with LST, on a 12 x 18 m carriage pontoon. The secured floating body is used as a standing base for the demolition apparatus in the 8 m deep water. With the 5 x 4.45 m telescopic crawler undercarriage, this multifunctional demolition machine not only provides the necessary stability to carry out the challenging work on the bridge. The hydraulically elevating and tilting cab also offers the experts the clear overview essential at the site. For the requirements of this special deconstruction task, the SENNEBOGEN 830 R-HDD was equipped with an LST surface milling tool, series SC and a rotating pulveriser, series P.
Statement:
"The machine has fulfilled and continues to fulfil all our expectations." states Businessman Helmut Mailhammer. And his son Stefan is also impressed: "The power of the machine and the overview from the cab are ideal."
