SENNEBOGEN expands service with Cummins Engine Affiliation

As a manufacturer of cranes and material handlers, SENNEBOGEN is also be certified for engine service and warranty processing as part of a Cummins Affiliated OEM partnership since the start of 2021. For customers and dealers, this means that engine and machine service can be processed centrally from a single source via the dealer network in the future.

Man, machine, engine, this short formula could be used to sum up the Cummins Affiliation. Since 2021, the Bavarian machine builder SENNEBOGEN and its dealer network have been able to handle all maintenance, service and repair work on cranes and material handlers with Cummins engines independently.

Cooperation between machine manufacturer and engine supplier

BRR Baumaschinen-Rhein-Ruhr started in spring 2021 as the first SENNEBOGEN authorized dealer: The BRR Management Board Manfred Ausmeier and Harald Ausmeier with the Managing Directors of SENNEBOGEN Maschinenfabrik, Dr Andreas Maurer and Alfred Endl, at the (corona-compliant) handover of dealer awards on the BRR premises.

In concrete terms, this means that, where a SENNEBOGEN technician and Cummins mechanic previously had to be on site to service the construction machine, everything can now be done by the certified SENNEBOGEN dealer, adding value for the customer. The so-called Cummins OEM Affiliation, i.e. a cooperation between machine manufacturer and engine supplier, now enables SENNEBOGEN to also handle warranty processing for Cummins engines and parts independently.

Service from a single source with a universally trained technician

For the customer, the advantages are clear: They get the service from a single source.
For SENNEBOGEN customers and drivers, there will be little change at first. They will continue to be reliably and securely supported by the worldwide network of distributors and service partners. However, for all engine-relevant maintenance and repairs, the new structure will soon mean that only one universally trained technician will have to be on site. The supply of spare parts is now also centrally and reliably handled by SENNEBOGEN.

Certification as an affiliate partner by SENNEBOGEN Academy

Successful training and certification as an Affiliated Partner by the SENNEBOGEN Academy is a prerequisite. While very few comparable manufacturers  around the world currently offer a cooperation like this, SENNEBOGEN is certainly on the right track.

"We have been working together successfully for decades in machine development, maintenance and service," explains the responsible Managing Director Dr. Andreas Maurer, SENNEBOGEN. "The Affiliation Agreement rounds off this cooperation and allows us to continue to guarantee excellent service for our customers in the market in the future."
