Built for the toughest conditions: The new SENNEBOGEN SLC 4000 ladle cleanerv

The mechanical engineering company SENNEBOGEN in Lower Bavaria has always stood for custom solutions. In the past, special-purpose equipment always had to be attached to a base machine. SENNEBOGEN is now offering its very own specialized machine from a single source: a ladle cleaner for operation under demanding steel works conditions.

Blast furnace slag is a by-product of crude iron and steel extraction that floats on top of the liquid metal. The hardened slag has to be removed from the ladle after casting so it can be refilled. This is where ladle cleaners are used. Equipped with a telescopic arm and various attachments, from ripper hook to hydraulic hammer to tapper, these specialized machines are designed to operate under high temperatures.

WORK AT UP TO 1000 °C: NUMEROUS ATTACHMENTS

The telescopic boom is hydraulically powered and extends out up to 4.0 m. The boom can also be adjusted in height and angle for a range of up to 12.6 m high and 6.3 m deep. In addition to the standard ripper hook with a maximum ripping force of 160 kN, a variety of other attachments are available upon request. The entire machine is designed for use in demanding steel working environments. Even when the ladle is still hot and glowing, the machine can operate for up to 15 min. without interruption.
