Hydraulic material handler in place of a crane: Hugh Simpson Contractors Ltd. take delivery of a SENNEBOGEN 850 E
As one of the leading handling and crane service providers in northern Scotland, family company Hugh Simpson Ltd. has been taking care of the loading, storage and transport of bulk and general cargo for almost 40 years. They have just added to their extensive range of machinery with a new 850 E material handler, delivered recently by sales and service partner E.H. Hassell & Sons Ltd.
Equipped with a 20 m long boom configuration, the new SENNEBOGEN is already in use using either with the 2.0 m³ double shell grab to handle bulk materials, lifting hook and a self-powered vacuum system to handle an increasing supply of steel pipes. These pipes are used, in particular, on the numerous offshore platforms that are serviced from Caithness.
The elevating cab and integrated quick change mechanism, in particular, make day-to-day operation more efficient and much easier for the driver.
