Erich Sennebogen, aged 21, founds his own company making agricultural machinery in Pilling near Straubing, Lower Bavaria.

The company is growing quickly and soon has 13 employees. The first SENNEBOGEN manure loaders are built.

The rapid growth of the company forces SENNEBOGEN to expand: A new plant is opened at the train station in Straubing.

Just like today, all products produced by the company back then are characterised by one thing: the focus on designing and producing our own solutions where possible. The motto "there's no such thing as can't" is applied throughout the company by Erich Sennebogen.

Alongside the traditional mechanical duty cycle crawler cranes, SENNEBOGEN develops the first hydraulic excavators from 1962, which enter production for the first time in 1964.

Innovation: the first duty cycle crawler crane with hydraulic lattice boom folding function, ensuring that the machine can be transported easily and be ready for use quickly. These innovative machines are also launched on the market as truck-mounted cranes.

World premiere: SENNEBOGEN develops the world’s first fully hydraulic duty cycle crawler crane. With its combination-winch pre-selection function, the machine represents a milestone in HD cycle crawler crane technology.

The first SENNEBOGEN hydraulic excavator with modern plastic chassis and wide angle of vision is produced.

The SK 15 with luffing fly boom in structural engineering: the mobile prefabricated house crane for pre-fabrication parts - a special market requirement from Holland.

The company recognises the opportunities of internationalisation early on and has been actively using them since 1973: globalisation and export help spread awareness for the SENNEBOGEN brand - including in the Arab states and Africa.

SENNEBOGEN guarantees both availability and reliability - all over the world! Specific market requirements, such as the extremely low temperatures in Siberia/Ust Ilimsk, lead to pioneering developments.

SENNEBOGEN develops a fully hydraulic HD crawler crane with hydraulic elevating cab.

World premiere: SENNEBOGEN develops the hydraulically adjusting articulated boom (GAUH). This innovation changes the face of the hydraulic excavator market and is still the global standard today.

Since 1984, SENNEBOGEN has been developing and producing all kinds of special carrier machines. Well-known customers successfully use these special devices all over the world.

The decision to build another plant in Wackersdorf is the next step in the expansion strategy. An ultra-modern production plant for mobile excavators is developed on a 160,000 m² site

Innovation: SENNEBOGEN designs a unique telescopic crane with mobile or crawler undercarriage and trend-setting technology.

The company takes over and modernises a supplier in Hungary, Balatonfüred, and develops it into a modern supplier for steel assemblies and weld constructions in just a short time.

SENNEBOGEN bundles its longstanding experience and creates a completely new range of high-performance material handling machines: the green line range is born.

Erich Sennebogen sen. is named the founding president of the Vereinigung der Bayerischen Wirtschaft e.V. (Bavarian Business Association).

American sales and service operation established in Stanley, North Carolina, USA, under the name SENNEBOGEN LLC.

The ASAM 4* hotel in Straubing is completed and opened with a high investment of SENNEBOGEN: with five conference rooms for up to 250 participants, ASAM is a leading conference hotel in the Lower Bavaria region.

Construction of the additional plant 2 in the industrial park Straubinger Hafen with a total area of 125,000 m² and an investment of more than 30 million euro.

On 21 March 2011, our company founder Erich Sennebogen sen. passed away at the age of 79, having had a major influence on the success of the company for almost six decades.

SENNEBOGEN celebrates its 60th anniversary! The logo stands for 60 successful years: the individual "rocks" represent the sales and service partners of the company, the "diamonds" represent the four production sites and subsidiaries.

At bauma 2013 SENNEBOGEN exhibited on 2120 m² bigger than ever and formed again the „green heart“ of bauma.
